How to achieve a natural make up look ?

Whenever I use make up [concealer, foundation, %26amp; powder] I feel like everything is just too have on my skin. On the other hand, I have a lot of red acne scars that I want to cover up. What are some make up products that do the job without having to put layers and layers of make up ?How to achieve a natural make up look ?
I use Bare Escentuals make up 'Bare Minerals' myself and its actually great for even the worst of skin conditions. Its a light powder but it does great coverage and lets your skin breathe. A Get Started kit is about 60-65 dollars and comes with foundation, brushes that are amazing and a how-to video. It also comes with a mineral veil. Also...do you moisturize night and day? If not...it will definetly improve your skin condition! I use Clean and Clear Soft Oil-free Moisturizer. They have one labeled DAY and one labeled NIGHT. It works great, keeps acne away, makes your skin feels sooo soft and the day one has SPF 15 in it! Other than that, wearing a neutral eye shadow color and mascara with a neutral lip color will look natural. Bare Minerals is pricey but its worth it and very good for your skin. Most liquid foundations clog your pores and make your skin condition alot worse. The moitsturizers I told you about are cheap (less than 10 dollars each and can be found at Wal-Mart!) Also..never wear your make up to bed! Make sure you wash it off...if you already have acne issues...this only makes matters worse. Id also suggest using moisturizer and then primer before you put on your make up . Good luck! How to achieve a natural make up look ?
you're just like me..

i recommend.. GLOW MINERALS press powder (same thing like bare minerals but like 9827498273495729357 times better!! ) it's difficult to find them in stores but you can order them from their page or i get mine from a cosmetic salon. .. omg the look is natural and nicccee and actually covers everything!!! -- flawless

not only that.. it's the best make-up out there for your skin.. it dosn't block pores and it's good for you.

Other recomendation: PRESCRITIVES the loose powder - soft airsoft feel, covers everything, and it's another good make-up for you skin!
yeah i agree, bare minerals all the way! i'm a lot like you- i used to not like wearing makeup or i used to think it felt nasty and cakey having so much gunk on my face. but, yeah ever since i got the Get Started Kit from Sephora about a year ago... I'm LOVING it!

for your redness, i was just thinking-- u should try Bare Minerals Blemish Therapy. It's a powder that has natural ingredients in it (like tea tree stuff) that calms your skin and best of all u can wear it under your makeup. It was like one of the top products at Sephora for a while. I live by it. here it is: http://store.bareescentuals.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BareEscentuals-Site/default/Link-CategoryProduct?name=BE_SUB_RAREMINERALS%26amp;pid=42809
Bare Minerals works really well for covering things up but looks completly natural. Sometimes if my face is red or itchy in the morning even a small amount seems to cover it all up. I think you can even get a free sample at some makeup stores or online. hope that helps!
You may want to try bare minerals. They are a bit pricey, but the product blends into your skin and it doesn't feel like you are wearing any makeup. Recently I had my makeup done at a dept. store and I could not wait to get home and wash it off, it felt so heavy on my face.
Bare Escentuals i.d. Bare Minerals.

Start out with a kit, it runs about 60 bucks.

look here for your shade:

Dior's Mineral Makeup from SEPHORA , expensive but it's the best out there.
mineral makeup or light loose powder
not wear any? that looks natural. ;) no, im joking. bare minerals.
I use Covergirl Aqua Smooth. But, I am beginning to hate it because it gets all cakey by the end of the day!
bare minerals

it works for me(:
i use natural rice DUAL WET %26amp; DRY foundation. i buy it at sally's beauty suplies in california. it only cost $13. i like the results. it covers my pimples that i get. and i get a red mark on my nose and some black heads, but with it you can't even tell. as for acne use either clean and clear acne control(works great) or oxy pads work great taking away my black heads. or(kinda expensive) murad(buy at abeauty store) it's an acne kit, but works great you can feel it working and great results.

and for natuaral look just use foundation, maybe some light blush(blend it with foundation) and mascara to bring out eyes.

good luck hope this helped.
alright sweetie, check it. It's not difficult to acheive a beautiful, fresh faced look. and you don't have to buy bare minerals to get it.

Start off by washing your face gently with just soap and water. Dove soap and lukewarm water. towel dry (pat, don't rub...) pull your hair back into a pony and use a facial moisturizer on your face. Moisturizers not only help to blend makeup better but also keep your makeup on your face for longer, through the day.

After you've done this, use a light concealer but ONLY in troble spots. The key to covering up pimples is to use a small amount of concealer on the tip of your pinkie finger and to only dot the pimple once, maybe twice. after that you use a sponge to blend the area around the blemish. After you've done this, give your face a light dusting with powder and then with an even lighter dusting of bronzer.

I never cared for foundation. I don't find it necessary to create an even, clear look- as long as I prime my face for makeup application beforehand. washing with a mild soap and towel patting dry, and then applying moisturizer beforehand is crucial to the makeup application process.

good luck!!! :)
