Is there a natural remedy I can use or make up at home to prevent puppy chewing furniture?

When you catch the puppy chewing, give a sharp AH AH and redirect him, when he moves away from the furniture tell him good boy, and give him a cold carrot from the fridge. Right now he is teething, and the cold carrot will help his teeth emerge and also numb the gums a bit.Is there a natural remedy I can use or make up at home to prevent puppy chewing furniture?
With our lab puppy, when he did this we sprayed him with vinegar mixed with a small amount of water. This is NOT harmful, and can produce NO dangers to your puppy. YEA u can spray um nasty stuff like vinagar on the stuff u dont want him to chew on or what u can do is dip or take a cloth with chicken broth and put it on the toys u want him to chew on and when he does say good boy
